Morning Boat Tour to Womisandu

The day begins early, before sunrise at 06:00 AM, with departure from Danpaati. As the first rays of sunlight slowly illuminate the jungle, you board a boat (traditional wooden canoe) at Danpaati River Lodge. The river is often still wrapped in a mystical mist, creating a magical atmosphere.

Guided by an experienced local, you head upstream toward Womisandu, a beautiful and remote spot in the jungle. Early morning is the perfect time to observe nature, as many animals are active and the jungle comes alive with birdsong and howler monkey calls.

During this peaceful boat ride, you’ll enjoy:

• The enchanting sunrise over the river

• The morning mist drifting above the water

• The sounds of the awakening rainforest, with chirping birds and singing frogs

After about 45 minutes, you’ll arrive at Womisandu, an idyllic riverside location known for its peace and natural beauty. Here, you’ll step ashore and have the opportunity to:

At around 07:30 AM, you’ll board the korjaal again for a slow return to Danpaati River Lodge. Along the way, you’ll have one last chance to spot unique animals and take in the calm morning vibe of the river.

Upon arrival back at the lodge, a delicious breakfast awaits you. Afterward, you’re free to relax or join other activities.
