Travel to Frederiksdorp:
Depart from Hotel Torarica, transfer via Mariënburg, then take a boat to Plantation Resort Frederiksdorp.
Welcome & Check-in:
The accommodations are all comfortably furnished and equipped with air conditioning, WiFi, and hot water.
Guided Historic Plantation Walk:
A guide will take you on a tour to see restored buildings from the 1700s, like the old director’s house and the doctor’s residence.
Visit to the Story museum:
This interactive museum is located in a historic house from 1760. It tells the stories of people from the right bank of the river. You will receive a short guided tour, then you can explore at your own pace by scanning QR codes for more stories, browsing historical books, or adding your own story in the cloud room.
Free exploration & leisure:
Choose to relax by the pool under palm trees or join activities such as: Swimming, Cycling, walking, paddleboarding, or go fishing.
Day 2: Boni Trail & Independent exploration
Guided Boni Trail:
This interactive tour takes you through a forest path about Boni, an 18th-century freedom fighter. Instead of focusing on victimhood, it tells the story of resistance.
You can also choose to do the Boni Trail after lunch.
Free exploration & leisure:
Choose to book extra excursions (such as boat trips or plantation visits).

Day 3: Village tour & Final Day

Canoeing at Frederiksdorp can be both an adventurous as well as a peaceful experience. This recreational outdoor activity let’s you explore the gorgeous river in a fun and active way.
Take your bait and fishing rod and go out to catch some Tilapia fish at the canals of Frederiksdorp, while enjoying the gorgeous surinamese nature that surrounds you. It is also possible to go fishing in the large pond or the wide Commewijne river.
You can rent bicycles at Plantage Frederiksdorp to cycle along the vast plantations. It is also possible to book a bike tour with the company of an experienced guide, that can tell stories about history and nature along the way, and shows you hidden gems that you wouldn’t have found on your own.
